September has arrived in the Adirondacks, but apparently nobody told the calendar to calm down. There are hints of color creeping across the hillsides, cooler mornings are making an appearance, and the next few weeks are absolutely stacked.

This week, ADK Talks heads into decidedly mysterious territory with Something’s Out There: Searching for Bigfoot in the Adirondacks. John Sheridan of Adirondack Bigfoot joins us to talk eyewitness accounts, field investigations, and why the North Country remains such fertile ground for Sasquatch stories.

Back in the realm of the verifiable, September is bringing some of the Adirondacks’ biggest traditions with it. The Adirondack Balloon Festival is preparing to fill the Queensbury sky, Lake George Jazz Weekend brings world-class music to the lakefront, and Teddy Roosevelt Weekend returns to Newcomb—so if that one caught your eye last week, now’s the time to make the drive.

We’re also checking back in at Lisa G’s in Lake Placid, where the menu has evolved but some things—those wings included—remain very good reasons to pull up a chair.

Summer may have loosened its grip. The Adirondacks, however, have no intention of getting boring.
