John Brown Farm Holiday Event in Lake Placid
Visit the historic farm where abolitionist John Brown lived in the Adirondacks for a special holiday program of activities.
Visit the John Brown Farm in Lake Placid on December 16, 2023, for a program of holiday events. The visitor center in the barn will be open, and guests are welcome to chat about how the Brown Family celebrated Christmas and do some holiday stamping or paper snowflake making. Cider and cookies will be on hand during the craft-making from 11 am to 3 pm.
Stay for special evening tours through the John Brown House, which has lights and decorations depicting holiday traditions from the 1850s. Tours will take place from 4 pm to 9 pm. This program is free and open to the public.
