Marcella Sembrich was born in Poland in 1858. She was a dramatic coloratura soprano, and her voice was regarded as flute-like, sweet, pure, light, and brilliant. Mme.
Sembrich's career spanned over three decades, including many performances in the most important opera houses in Europe and America and residencies at the New York Metropolitan Opera and the Royal Opera House in London. Her contribution to the music world is still celebrated, and The Sembrich Opera Museum aims to preserve her legacy.
The museum features a collection of Sembrich's personal belongings, including costumes, photographs, letters, and other artifacts that offer visitors insight into her life, artistic career, and contribution to the opera world.
