Beyond the Sea in Bolton Landing
Excellent seafood and steaks that will have you crooning like Bobby Darin: “Happy we’ll be beyond the sea….”

Located in beautiful Bolton Landing, we are impressed by Beyond the Sea’s terrific seafood prepared with seasonal ingredients. And as the name implies, there are several non-seafood items on the menu.
Seared Ahi Tuna.
During our recent visit, we started with the fried calamari, shrimp, and zucchini appetizer. It was lightly floured, reminiscent of the best Frito Misto in Venice, and came with fried cherry peppers and truffle lemon aioli for dipping.
For our salads, we enjoyed the Caesar Salad and the Warm Burrata, both of which were delicious.
Mama Bear particularly loved the lobster ravioli, which was served in a delightful sherry cream sauce and included half a Maine lobster tail. Baby Bear devoured her seared Ahi tuna, while Papa Bear savored every bite of his hand-cut 8-oz filet mignon topped with a red wine reduction sauce.
To finish off our meal, we shared a piece of the light and creamy key lime pie for dessert, which was simply perfection.

Sea Bass.
The service has always been excellent during our visits. We recently celebrated our parents' anniversary, and every member of the staff stopped by our table throughout the evening to offer their congratulations and good wishes.
The dining room has a vibe reminiscent of the upstairs of a chic boathouse at a classic Adirondack Great Camp—upscale yet still casual.
Beyond the Sea has become our preferred spot for special occasions, but we’ll find any reason to return.
Keep in mind that Beyond the Sea is very busy during the summer season and holiday weeks, so reservations are highly recommended. (we made ours through OpenTable.
