When we are in Saranac Lake, we make a point to stop in at the Village Mercantile. Whether you’re looking for a perfect gift or something for yourself, we feel confident saying you can find it at the Mercantile.
Step inside, and you’ll find a wide assortment of goods, many made here in the ADK:
Clothing and apparel
Wellness products
Books, calendars, fun games and local maps
Specialty food items, coffee, craft items and chocolate
Home decor and furnishings
Pet products
And so much more
We love the Village Mercantile’s origin story. They are a community-owned store born out of a need to offer better access to things they need and to keep local dollars in the community.
As they say on their website, “If you’re looking for North Country-ready clothes to get through the winter (or through your shift at work), wares that turn your house into a home, or handmade Adirondack crafts that evoke the spirit of this place we love, The Village Mercantile is the place you need to turn first.”
Their online store is a gem and lets you “live like an Adirondacker, wherever you are.” Their website has all the information you need regarding current hours of operation and other updates.
