Where in the Adirondacks? Mini Route 66 in Speculator, NY

A truly one-of-a-kind roadside attraction in the Central Adirondacks.

This week’s “Where in the ADK?” is from Speculator, NY, and its super cute Mini Route 66.

This tiny town exists due to the efforts of two long-time residents who wanted to create something fun and novel for families in the area. Visit for free, 24 hours, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.

Stop by and check out this miniature village, including a general store, service station, church, schoolhouse, post office, ice cream parlor, and even a barbershop.

While Speculator's Mini Route 66 may not span thousands of miles, its charm and character are undeniable. Stretching along Route 30, also known as the Adirondack Trail Scenic Byway, this miniaturized version of the iconic highway offers a delightful assortment of attractions and landmarks that pay homage to the spirit of the open road.
