Cookies & Cheers: Ticonderoga’s First Holiday Downtown Walk Brings Sweet Magic to Montcalm Street
The charm of small town Christmas festivities.
Ticonderoga is launching a brand-new holiday tradition this year — and it’s shaping up to be one of the most festive nights of the season. Cookies & Cheers, the first-ever Holiday Downtown Walk, will take over Montcalm Street on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4–8 pm, transforming downtown into a sparkling, cookie-filled winter village.
Families, friends, locals, and Lake Champlain region visitors are invited to bundle up, stroll through the decorated historic district, and enjoy an evening of free holiday fun, live entertainment, delicious bites, and plenty of opportunities to shop local before Christmas.
A cookie trail, sip stops & sweet surprises.
At the heart of Cookies & Cheers is the Cookie Trail & Sip Card, available from 4–7 pm at NRDC (111 Montcalm Street) or at participating businesses throughout the walk. Kids can collect beautifully baked holiday cookies at each stop, while adults enjoy complimentary sips — including non-alcoholic options so everyone can join the fun.
Kids can enjoy delicious holiday cooks.
Families that complete their card can enter to win a North Country Holiday Gift Basket, packed with treats and products from local Adirondack and Champlain Valley shops. It’s the perfect way to reward a night of downtown exploring.
Holiday bites: food trucks & local treats.
Two crowd-favorite food trucks will anchor the culinary fun:
Cousins Maine Lobster — the nationally loved, Shark Tank-famous truck serving lobster rolls, bisque, and chowder.
80K Street Plates — serving global street food favorites.
Pair that with the cookie trail’s professionally baked treats, and you’ve got a delicious way to warm up between stops.
A full lineup of festive fun.
Cookies & Cheers isn’t just a stroll — it’s a whole evening of activities designed for families and kids:
Festive live music and dancing at TiArts.
Santa visits, crafts & free face painting at Punky Noodles / Champ Café, hosted by The Art Bucket
Free children’s trackless train rides near Inky the Elf at Sun Community News
Storytime & Cookie Bear craft at Black Watch Library (limited to 30 children)
Live folk music & dancing by Eloise & Co. at the Ti Arts / Downtown Gallery
Lighted Musical Canopy presented by Artscapes
Even more attractions — including horse-drawn carriage rides and a holiday drone light show — are pending, with updates expected in the coming days.
Shop small, support local.
Downtown Ti will be glowing with decorated storefronts and warm welcomes from participating shops, including:
Punky Noodles / Champ Café, Small Town Boutique, Huddy & Co., Sugar & Spice Country Shoppe, The Adirondack Trading Post, Ti Arts / Downtown Gallery, Blee’s Salon & Spa, Ti Co-op, Black Watch Library, Sun Community News, That’s RAD!, and more to be announced.
Shop local this holiday season.
Shopping local during Cookies & Cheers directly supports the artisans, makers, and small business owners who keep Ticonderoga vibrant year-round — a core theme of this festive evening.
With holiday lights twinkling across downtown and the mountains rising in the distance, Cookies & Cheers captures the beauty and heart of the Lake Champlain–Adirondack region in December. It’s warm, it’s welcoming, it’s family-focused — and it’s everything a small-town holiday celebration should be.
Small-town charm, big holiday energy.
With its brightly decorated storefronts, twinkling lights, and gingerbread-house aesthetic, downtown Ticonderoga transforms into a holiday postcard come to life.
The Champlain Valley’s winter backdrop — frost-kissed streets, mountain silhouettes, and crisp December air — creates a magical setting for an evening stroll.
There will be Instagram-worthy photo ops in front of decorated windows, meet friends hopping from shop to shop sharing warm drinks, and visitors will discover new businesses they’ll return to long after the holidays.
A celebration of community.
More than anything, Cookies & Cheers is about community spirit. Events like this thrive because neighbors show up to support neighbors — local makers, business owners, artists, and volunteers who work year-round to make Ticonderoga a welcoming, creative, and resilient place to live and visit.
Whether you’re a local or exploring the Lake Champlain region for the season, this walk offers an inviting glimpse into the town’s holiday heart.
