Adirondack Pollinator Festival and Native Plant Sale in Lake Placid
Uihlein Farm is the place to “bee” on June 7, 2025.

Join AdkAction for a free, family-friendly celebration of pollinators and native plants at the Adirondack Pollinator Festival & Native Plant Sale. This event brings together gardeners, conservationists, families, and community partners to support pollinator habitat and learn how native plants can make a difference in your backyard and beyond.
This is AdkAction’s third Pollinator Festival and its eighth annual native plant sale in Lake Placid. It will be full of information if you want to turn your yard into a pollinator habitat. The festival runs from 9 am to noon, and the plant sale will be from 9 am to 2 pm.
A dynamic event and opportunity to appreciate the region’s natural beauty.
Featured activities include:

Monarch butterfly.
Native plant sale with over 2,000 neonicotinoid-free plants grown locally by volunteers and staff
Educational workshops on native plants and sustainable landscaping
Hands-on kids’ activities and free books with Mountain Lake PBS
Pollinator scavenger hunt for children – the first 50 kids to complete it will receive wearable butterfly wings
Informational tables from local organizations involved in pollinator and habitat conservation
Incredible panoramic views of the High Peaks from the greenhouse
Schedule of events
9:00 AM – Festival begins
Native plant sale, kids’ activities, and nonprofit exhibit tables open
10:00 AM – Workshop: Native Plants 101
An introduction to starting your pollinator garden with Lisa Salamon of the Adirondack Pollinator Project.

Mountain Mint attracts native bees and insects, but not deer.
11:00 AM – Workshop: De-Lawning – Lawn Alternatives for Biodiversity
Learn how to replace conventional lawns with low-maintenance, pollinator-friendly landscapes. Led by Lisa Salamon.
12:00 PM – Festival activities conclude
Exhibit tables and scavenger hunt wrap up.
2:00 PM – Plant sale ends (or when sold out)
Pick up pre-ordered plants until 2:00 PM.
AdkAction encourages visitors to make a day of it, bring a picnic lunch, enjoy the stunning mountain views, and take a walk on a grasslands path to observe the pollinators and birds of the Adirondacks.

Pre-ordering is strongly recommended to ensure availability. Orders can be picked up during the festival or on another nearby date by arrangement.
