The skiathlon format will consist of two separate 5k loops (one with classic tracks, one with skate lanes) and a transition area near the lodge.
Racers will start in the classic technique in a mass start for the first 5k loop and then transition to skate skis for the second 5k loop. Before starting, racers can place their skate skis and poles in the transition area at 10:30 am.
Bib pickup will be inside the lodge (Pro Shop) beginning at 10 am. Please note: the race course is NOT CLOSED; recreational skiing will be allowed but only in the same direction as racers, and recreational skiers MUST YIELD to racers.
