On Saturday, February 7, 2026, winter takes center stage at Fort Ticonderoga as the museum presents REAL TIME REVOLUTION®: The Precarious Garrison of Ticonderoga.

This immersive, one-day living history event invites visitors to step into February 1776 and experience how a small garrison of New York troops endured deep cold, scarce supplies, and wrenching decisions about duty and home during a pivotal moment of the Revolutionary War.

Designed for history lovers, families, and winter adventurers alike, the program explores how soldiers maintained and defended Fort Ticonderoga while commanding the Northern Department—an essential link between the Continental Army in Canada and the colonies to the south.

Reenactors interpret the lived realities of service: aching limbs, fraying uniforms, frozen roads, and the looming question of whether to reenlist when the comforts of home felt impossibly far away.

What visitors will experience.
