Celebrate our region’s most promising young artists with an afternoon of vocal and instrumental music, in both classical and popular styles.

The Sembrich has been a venue for young artists to learn and perform since 1924, where Madame Sembrich trained singers from The Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music.

Attend this annual season opener, which recalls a time when young voices echoed from the lakeside teaching studio a century ago.

The Marcella Sembrich Memorial Association honors international opera singer Marcella Sembrich at her former teaching studio and woodland retreat on Lake George. Our mission is to:

  • Preserve and protect the museum collection, historical significance, and legacy of Marcella Sembrich

  • Present performances and exhibitions that foster an appreciation for music, including opera, and the arts

  • Provide educational opportunities for the study of classical music

Opened to the public in 1937, the Sembrich Museum has been in continuous operation for more than 80 years.

Since 1940, The Marcella Sembrich Memorial Association (The Sembrich) has honored the life and legacy of Polish-American soprano Marcella Sembrich with a unique museum and performance season.

Attend a celebration of the Adirondack region’s most promising young artists with an afternoon filled with vocal and instrumental music, featuring both classical and popular styles.

For decades, The Sembrich has served as a venue for young artists to learn and perform, where Madame Sembrich trained singers from renowned institutions such as The Juilliard School and the Curtis Institute of Music.
