Whiteface Lodge in Lake Placid

The Whiteface Lodge is located just a few miles outside of Lake Placid Village, but it feels worlds away from the hustle and bustle of a resort town.
Constructed in 2005, the Lodge takes significant design cues from the Gilded Age Great Camps without skimping on modern convenience or luxury indulgence.
Accommodations are spacious and Adirondack-opulent. Guests stay in one-, two- and three-bedroom suites, each with a fully equipped kitchen. Many come with private terraces, cast-iron fireplaces, sitting and dining spaces. All rooms are uniquely furnished in the Great Camp style.
The on-premises dining facilities include a fine-dining restaurant, Kanu. The real star may be the gorgeous dining room. The resort has several casual options, as well. And proximity to Lake Placid Village allows guests to try the variety of options in town.
When guests aren't wallowing in the sumptuous splendor of their rooms or enjoying terrific food, they can indulge in the resort's award-winning spa. On-property activities include: tennis and basketball courts, a catch and release fishing pond, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, a bowling alley, wintertime skating rink, movie theater, fitness center with a variety of classes.
While the property is not lakefront, they have access to the resort's private beach and boathouse on Lake Placid. Guests have exclusive access to canoes, kayaks, beach and swimming areas, volleyball, badminton, and other beach games and activities. Private motorboats are available for excursions and water sports. All motorized boats come with a certified driver.
Proximity to the Olympic sporting facilities and the ADK high peaks means guests can partake in various mountain sports. Whiteface Mountain is about 20 miles away and offers some of the Northeast's best skiing.
