Valley Brook Drive-In
Family-owned for three generations, don’t miss this classic attraction.
Welcome to the Valley Brook Drive-in, a hidden gem nestled in Lyons Falls, NY, on the western edge of the Adirondack State Park.
While a rare sight these days, this single-screen drive-in is still shining brightly after more than six decades of entertaining families and movie lovers. Back in the day, when I was a counselor at a nearby summer camp, Valley Brook was a favorite destination for the staff on nights off.
Fans rave about the reasonable prices, tasty treats from the snack bar and family environment. Even four-legged fur babies (if they are well-behaved) are welcome.
Audio for the movies is provided via a dual-band radio broadcast: on AM (600) as a courtesy to vintage car enthusiasts and 88.9 FM for modern cars. And also true to its traditions and nodding to the nostalgia-minded, some of the original window speakers have been kept in service and are available for about 25% of the parking spaces.
Since its grand opening in 1952, Valley Brook has been a cherished tradition passed down through three generations of the same family. Head to Valley Brook for a nostalgic movie experience that's stood the test of time.
