4th of July Family Games in Inlet, NY

Celebrate Independence Day in the Central Adirondacks.

Families and friends gather for 4th of July festivities in Inlet, NY.

Inlet, NY, in the Central Adirondacks region of New York State, is preparing for an unforgettable 4th of July.

The Inlet Youth Commission is planning a family-friendly event at Fern Park on July 4th, starting at 10:30 am.

Among the fun and action are a scavenger hunt and a variety of field games at Fern Park, including water balloon toss, sack races, and more contests with prizes. Refreshments will also be provided.

Join American Legion Post #1402 as they explain the significance of the American flag and demonstrate the proper and respectful way to dispose of it once it has faded and worn. A Flag Retirement Ceremony by the American Legion will also take place at Fern Park.

In the evening, enjoy festivities at Arrowhead Lakefront featuring live music by Jamie Notarthomas, starting at 7:30 pm, followed by fireworks at dusk, launched from a barge on Fourth Lake.

Bring a chair or a blanket and enjoy a great concert while watching one of the most spectacular sunsets in the Adirondack Park.
