Bratwurst, potato pancakes, and polka: Adirondack Brewery’s Oktoberfest gives Lake George a distinctly Bavarian October afternoon.

The 20th Annual Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest Charity Block Party takes place Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 12 pm – 5 pm at Adirondack Pub & Brewery, 33 Canada Street, in the southern Adirondacks.

The food lineup includes bratwurst, knackwurst, weisswurst, and potato pancakes, while the beer garden brings together Adirondack Brewery’s own beverages and visiting New York State breweries. Local wine and craft cider round out the sampling options.

This is an afternoon for adults who enjoy tasting regional drinks, German festival food, and a little good-natured competition.

Polka and friendly competition at Adirondack Brewery.

Polka music and dancing set the pace, with keg tossing, stein hoisting, and cornhole adding opportunities to put something besides tasting skills to the test. Games and contests run throughout the afternoon, with prizes for winners.

The costume contest gives lederhosen and dirndls their moment. Participants should head to the band’s stage in the main tent at 3 pm to enter. Spectators can enjoy the proceedings without committing to Bavarian tailoring.

With Lake George’s fall foliage as the seasonal backdrop, the block party pairs a familiar Oktoberfest tradition with a regional drinks lineup. It suits friends planning a social afternoon and visitors interested in sampling several producers in one place.

What Oktoberfest tickets include.

The standard festival ticket includes admission, a branded 5-ounce sampler stein, a $15 food voucher, and unlimited sampling of Adirondack Brewery beer and cider, New York State guest brewery beer, and local wine and cider. Entry into the day’s games and contests is included, too.

A designated-driver ticket is also offered and includes the $15 food voucher. Attendees should check the official Adirondack Brewery Oktoberfest page for current ticket prices, purchasing links, and updates.

A portion of the proceeds benefits Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Southern Adirondacks, giving the afternoon a local charitable purpose alongside the festivities.

Anyone entering the costume contest should plan around its 3 pm start and head to the main-tent stage in time. For guests sampling alcoholic beverages, arrange a designated driver or transportation home before the afternoon begins; a parking space is only half the travel plan.
