How to prepare for the unexpected?
Even in the majestic Adirondack Park, where natural beauty reigns supreme, we are not shielded from these forces of nature or the occasional human-made disaster. However, the good news is that we can arm ourselves with knowledge and resources to confront these challenges head-on.

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, take part in an essential training program hosted by the New York State Citizen Preparedness Corps, designed specifically for our community. The event is free to attend.
Held at North Country Community College in Saranac Lake, this interactive session promises to equip residents with insights and information on the critical tools needed to prepare for any disaster, navigate the response process, and swiftly return to normalcy.
