After a day of carving turns on the slopes, Gore Mountain knows how to keep the good times rolling. On Saturday, January 10, 2026, skiers and riders are invited to stick around for one of Gore’s most popular winter traditions: Rippin’ & Sippin’, a laid-back après-ski party that blends live music, local flavor, and mountain-town vibes.

This week’s event features live acoustic music by Andy Chirgwin, making it the perfect way to wind down—or warm up—after a day on the snow.

What is Rippin’ & Sippin’ at Gore Mountain?

Rippin’ & Sippin’ is Gore Mountain’s signature Saturday après-ski series, held throughout the winter season.

Each Saturday afternoon offers something a little different, keeping things fresh for regulars and visitors alike. Expect a rotating lineup of adult beverage brands, special promotions, giveaways, and—most importantly—live music.

The atmosphere is casual and social, the kind of après-ski scene where ski boots are welcome, conversations flow easily, and the soundtrack sets the tone for a relaxed winter evening in the Adirondacks.

Whether you skied bell to bell or just squeezed in a few runs, Rippin’ & Sippin’ is designed to extend your mountain day in the best possible way.

Meet the musician: Andy Chirgwin.

Providing the soundtrack for January 10 is Andy Chirgwin, a solo acoustic performer based in Queensbury, NY.

Andy’s sets span classic rock, alternative rock, and alt-country, pulling from the 1970s through today. His wide-ranging song list makes him a great fit for an après-ski crowd where musical tastes can be as diverse as the trail map at Gore.

After years of playing guitar informally—around campfires and at parties—Andy began performing publicly following his “semi-retirement” in 2024. Since then, he’s become known for his approachable style, strong song selection, and willingness to take audience requests.

Andy’s goal is simple: make sure everyone has a great time, whether they’re nursing a post-ski drink or settling in for a longer stay.

What to expect at Rippin’ & Sippin’ on January 10.

Like every Rippin’ & Sippin’ event, the January 10 party will feature a unique adult beverage brand, along with a promotion and a giveaway. These elements rotate weekly, adding an element of surprise and encouraging guests to check back often.

Specific brands and promotions are subject to change without notice, but the après-ski energy remains consistent: upbeat, friendly, and unmistakably Gore.

Live music takes place Saturday afternoon, making this an easy add-on to your ski day rather than a late-night commitment.

It’s ideal for groups, couples, or solo skiers looking to soak up the mountain atmosphere a little longer before heading home or out to dinner in North Creek.
