Join in a genuine 4th of July Parade in the Adirondacks.
Every summer, Lake Placid hosts a spectacular Fourth of July Parade that runs through the heart of the village at 5 pm. This crowd-favorite event showcases local civic groups, businesses, and individuals, and has become one of the highlights of the summer season.

The parade begins at the Lake Placid Post Office and travels along Main Street, culminating at Saranac Avenue, near the High Peaks Resort.

Join the festivities at Mid’s Park, a beloved spot in Lake Placid, to enjoy performances by some of the best local musicians.
This beautiful, open green space offers spectacular views of Mirror Lake and the surrounding mountains, making it the perfect place to celebrate July 4th with great music. Don’t forget to bring a blanket or lawn chair so you can relax and enjoy the show in the best view in town.

The music kicks off with Nubble, an alternative folk band hailing from Saranac Lake in the heart of the Adirondack Tri-Lakes and High Peaks Region. They will take the stage at Mid’s Park at 1 pm.
At 7 PM, the Lake Placid Sinfonietta, the Orchestra of the Adirondacks, will present a lakeside concert sponsored by Champlain National Bank. The program will feature classical pops performed by the Lake Placid Sinfonietta. If it rains or the temperature drops below 65°F, the concert will be relocated to the sanctuary of St. Agnes Church, located on Saranac Avenue in Lake Placid. In the event of rain, the concert will begin at 7:15 pm.

The highlight of the day is Lake Placid's spectacular Fourth of July fireworks show, "Set the Night to Music." The fireworks display will take place over Mirror Lake and will begin at 9:30 PM. The show is synchronized to music, and you can listen to the official soundtrack live on 93.3/102.1 - LAKEfm and 105.5/95.3 FM - Adirondack 105.
Insider tip: The Mirror Lake Public Beach area and the large hill overlooking Main Street are excellent spots to watch the fireworks. Bring a blanket or a lawn chair, pack some snacks, and enjoy the show.
