Join Whiteface Mountain’s annual Oktoberfest, just a few miles east of Lake Placid, for one of the best fall festivals in the Adirondacks on September 27 and 28, 2025.
Every fall, the community in Wilmington, NY, dresses in their finest lederhosen and dirndls, welcomes an oompah band, recreates the ambiance of Bavaria in the High Peaks, and serves delicious Adirondack ale at the Whiteface Mountain Oktoberfest.
This weekend-long celebration features authentic German music, dancing, food, and beer. SKI Magazine has rated it as one of the best festivals in ski country.

Roger’s Bratwagon — Featuring brats, knocks, wieners, pretzels, German potato salad, soft drinks and beer in the Biergarten Area.
Roger’s Baked Potato Tent —Featuring loaded baked potatoes with your choice of toppings: sour cream, chives, bacon bits, cheese, butter, and chili, soft drinks and beer in the Biergarten Area.
Highland Bites — Grilled kielbasa, hot dogs, fresh cut fries, hunter stew, soft drinks and beer in the Biergarten Area.
Al Forno Pizza — Wood-fired Flammkuchen (German pizza), soft drinks and beer in the Biergarten Area.

Holy Smoked Meats- Smoked meat platters, turkey legs, sandwiches, chicken, nachos, fries, soft drinks and beer in the Face Lift Area
Roger’s Fried Dough- Fried dough topped with your choice of powdered sugar, cinnamon, butter, or chocolate, cotton candy, soft drinks and beer in the Face Lift Area.
Maple Smoke BBQ Food Truck - Smash burgers, Schweinefleisch (goulash), Kraut Hund, fries, pretzel bites, soft drinks, and beer in the Gondola Area.
Waffle Cabin- Belgium Waffles (includes choice of toppings: chocolate drizzle, whipped cream, sprinkles). Hot apple cider, coffee and hot cocoa in the Gondola Area.
Whiteface’s award-winning restaurant, Cloudspin Bar & Grill, will be open thanks to sponsor Saratoga Eagle. Patrons can enjoy smoked andouille, burgers, poutine, platten pork schnitzel, or a ground beef patty with gravy, accompanied by fries, sauerkraut & red cabbage. Outdoor beer stands on the Cloudspin bar deck (weather permitting).

The remarkable entertainment lineup features an array of captivating acts, including the lively duo die Schlauberger performing in the Main Entertainment Tent, the spirited melodies of The Adlers, and the joyful rhythms of the Schachtelgebirger Musikanten (Scha-Musi) at the Cloudspin Bar & Grill.
Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, the Alphorn Trio mesmerizes with their resonant horns, while the delightful Alpenland Tänzer dancers grace the stage with enchanting traditional performances.

At any of the Adirondacks’ fantastic fall festivals, we strongly urge and highly recommend attending Oktoberfest with a Designated Driver (DD) or planning safe travel home ahead of time.

There is an Oktoberfest shuttle between the village of Lake Placid and Whiteface Mountain so that you can leave the driving to others.
You can also request a trip with UberX online or directly from the Uber app in Lake Placid.
Full disclosure: we are big reliers of Uber and Lyft in places like NYC, Austin, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and other US metro areas — but we’ve never used them in Lake Placid, so we can’t vouch for the availability of Uber drivers in the High Peaks on a weekend in September.
