Old Forge's 2025 Snodeo Kicks Off Snowmobile Season This December

Mark your calendars for December 12-13, 2025, as Old Forge welcomes winter enthusiasts to its beloved 48th Annual Snodeo at the George T. Hiltebrant Pavilion on North Street. This free, family-friendly event marks the official kickoff to snowmobile season in the Central Adirondacks and promises two days packed with exciting activities, displays, and winter fun.

For nearly five decades, Snodeo has been a cornerstone of Old Forge's winter calendar, bringing together snowmobile enthusiasts, families, and community members to celebrate the start of riding season. This year's event continues that proud tradition with an impressive lineup of activities and attractions that appeal to seasoned riders and curious newcomers alike.
The event runs Friday, December 12, from 3pm to 7pm, and Saturday, December 13, from 10am to 6pm. Best of all, entry is completely free, making it an accessible outing for the whole family.
What to expect at Snodeo 2025.
New snowmobile model displays take center stage, allowing attendees to see and explore the season's latest sleds up close.
Whether you're in the market for a new machine or want to see what innovations the manufacturers have introduced, these displays offer valuable insights into the latest snowmobile technology.

Vintage snowmobile enthusiasts will appreciate the special showcase of classic machines that tell the story of snowmobiling's evolution. The vintage show culminates on Saturday at 5pm with a drawing for cash prizes.
Family-friendly activities abound, including the always-popular Kitty Cat races at noon on Saturday. These youth snowmobile races delight children and spectators alike, creating memories that last well beyond the weekend.
Tech talks and shopping opportunities allow visitors to connect with local snowmobile dealers and vendors, pick up gear, learn maintenance tips, and get expert advice for the season ahead.
