2025 AppleFolkFest in Crown Point at Penfield Homestead

The Penfield Homestead Museum will host its annual Fall Festival, featuring free tours of the Homestead, Church, Farm Barns, and Historic Walking Tours, on

Visitors can explore a marketplace featuring local crafters, artisans, farmers, food producers, and local authors, as well as unique flea market finds.

This year’s AppleFolkFest will also feature a special visitor from the Dead Creek Ranch—a Morgan horse and its owner, LTC Chris Heidorf. Morgan horses were highly valued assets during the Civil War, appreciated by both the North and South for their calm temperament, strength, and stamina. The presence of the Morgan horse aligns with the Museum's recent focus on local Civil War memorabilia.

To enhance the festive atmosphere, Mary Jo von Turry and Swinal Smith will perform folk and country music in the Pavilion. 

The AppleFolkFest serves as the Museum’s final event of the season before it closes for the winter. Proceeds from AppleFolkFest support the education and preservation programs of the Penfield Homestead Museum.
