Then, around 9:15 pm, the sky erupts.
Fireworks reflected across Schroon Lake create one of the Adirondacks' classic Independence Day moments. Surrounded by mountains, boats bobbing offshore, and families gathered on blankets, it's the sort of finale that reminds visitors why small-town celebrations remain unforgettable.
ADK Taste recommendation.
Arrive before 11 am if possible. You'll find easier parking, shorter food lines, and plenty of time to enjoy the family activities before Main Street fills for the parade. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket and plan to stay through the fireworks—the evening concert makes waiting for dark part of the experience.
