Schroon Lake Porch Fest 2025: Live Music All Day Long
Celebrate worldwide “Play Music on the Porch Day” in the charming village of Schroon Lake.

What if, for one day, everything paused, and we simply listened to the music? That’s the essence of Play Music on the Porch Day, a global initiative designed to encourage people to step outside and share their music.
In 2014, a group of passionate musicians brought this idea to life, and, to their astonishment, it spread even more rapidly than they could have envisioned.
By 2025, the movement continues to flourish, with countless musicians from over 90 countries and thousands of cities joining in. Despite diverse backgrounds, musicians worldwide find a universal connection through the language of music.

Play Music on the Porch Day celebrates the idea that music transcends boundaries. Whether you play an Oud, a Guitarrón, a Nyckelharpa, or a Guitar, when you pick up your instrument and play, the world fades away, and you become immersed in the melodies.
Music transcends words and overcomes the most challenging barriers. It unites us like a thread woven through our hearts. Our skin may vary in color, but music resides in our blood, bones, and soul.

The jamming starts at 1 pm on Saturday, August 23, 2025, in the heart of Schroon Lake Village on Main Street, Leland Avenue, Broad Street, and Dock Street.
