Warrensburgh Apple Festival Serves Up a Taste of Adirondack Fall

Apples are the star of autumn produce in the Adirondacks.

The Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market Apple Festival brings one of the Adirondacks’ favorite fall flavors to the Warrensburg Recreation Field Pavilion on Friday, September 11, 2026.

This annual farmers market festival in the Lake George region runs from 3–6 pm, turning an ordinary Friday afternoon into a celebration of local apples, cider, baked goods, farm products and the people who produce them.

And apples, naturally, get top billing. Saratoga Apple will bring varieties of organically grown fruit along with cider and apple cider donuts, while local bakers and food producers take the theme considerably further—into pies, cakes, cookies, scones, turnovers, crisps, breads and other excuses for eating dessert before dinner.

Adirondack apples take center stage.

Now in its 13th year, the Apple Festival is part farmers market, part harvest celebration and part lesson in just how many things can reasonably be made with an apple.

Beyond fresh fruit and cider donuts, the 2026 lineup includes apple butter, French apple cake, apple cinnamon raisin bread, apple pie cookies and even savory apple sausage and sage arancini. Apple-themed beverages are expected from regional craft producers as well.

Visitors can also watch an apple cider pressing demonstration, sample freshly pressed cider and stop by the Warren County Cornell Cooperative Extension Master Gardener station for horticultural information and seasonal recipes.

It is a particularly Adirondack way to welcome fall: less pumpkin-spice spectacle, more actual farmers.

More than a farmers market in Warrensburgh.

The festival gathers farms, bakers, artisans and small businesses from Warrensburgh and the surrounding region under one pavilion.

Alongside the apple bounty, shoppers can expect locally grown produce, chicken and duck eggs, maple syrup, garlic, baked goods and other farm products. Artisan vendors add handcrafted jewelry, woodworking, soaps, fiber arts, home décor and seasonal crafts to the mix.

That combination is part of the appeal. The Warrensburgh Riverfront Farmers’ Market has been connecting shoppers with regional producers for nearly three decades, and its seasonal food festivals turn the weekly market into something closer to a small-town gathering.

Live music by singer-songwriter Peter Burrall supplies the soundtrack, while free freshly brewed coffee offers strategic assistance to anyone contemplating another cider donut.

Families get their own taste of fall.

The Apple Festival is easy to work into a family afternoon in the southern Adirondacks.

Children can take part in apple-themed hands-on crafts and take-and-make activities, along with pumpkin decorating. Adults, meanwhile, can browse the market, talk with growers and producers and enter for a chance to win $20 in Farmers’ Market Bucks to spend with participating vendors.

Admission is free.

The cider pressing demonstration is worth catching. Seeing apples go from fruit to fresh cider puts the festival’s farm-to-table theme into wonderfully literal terms—and samples make the lesson considerably tastier.

Arrive toward the beginning of the 3 – 6 pm festival window for the best selection of apples and baked goods. Festival days move the regular farmers market from its River Street location to the Warrensburgh Recreation Field Pavilion on Library Avenue, where parking and restrooms are available.

Warrensburgh also makes an easy stop for travelers exploring the Lake George and Gore Mountain regions, whether the afternoon continues south toward Lake George or north along Route 9 into the Adirondacks.
