Would that we could eat at Forty Six every day. This High Peaks establishment has high standards for fresh, local, and sustainably sourced ingredients and is one of our favorites. And, truth be told, we’d prefer to scale this 46er than any other.

Freshly made cuisine at Forty Six
Part of the Dartbrook complex—a stunning home furnishing store and an upscale inn—Forty Six delivers on the culinary end of the equation.
The menu evolves with the seasons, showcasing the freshest ingredients and culinary inspirations that each time of year has to offer.
On a recent visit this past fall, we enjoyed a lunch of fried Brussels sprouts, kale Caesar salad with salmon, the most delicious fried chicken sandwich outside of Koreatown in NYC, and a fantastic brisket sandwich.

If we could, we would’ve stayed for dinner for the red wine-braised short ribs, Thai-style red curry tofu, or the Faroe Island Salmon.
Or maybe we’d have the venison medallions or Pork Ossobuco. We would have a hard time choosing.
The ambiance is cozy and laid-back, and the service is lovely. The staff at Forty Six makes an effort to make every guest feel at home.
