Essex Day 2025 in the Adirondacks

The Town of Essex is excited to announce its annual tradition of hosting a town-wide yard sale and street party on the first Saturday of August.
Residents and visitors are invited to explore a diverse selection of treasures at the yard sale while enjoying the lively atmosphere of the street party. This event is a fantastic opportunity to experience the unique character and spirit of historic Essex on Lake Champlain, all while connecting with fellow community members.
Browse and enjoy refreshments from local restaurants including The Essex Ice Cream Cafe, The Barn Door Tavern, The Essex Inn, The Old Dock and The Pink Pig.
Enjoy live Music: Too Tall String Band (10 am-noon), Scott Sileo (12:30 pm - 2 pm). Made possible, in part, by the Essex County Arts Council's Cultural Assistance Program Grant with funding provided by Essex County. Also made possible in part by Triple Jade Green Farm.
Sample local cuisine from food trucks, including Papa Duke's BBQ and Indian Bay Woodfired Pizza & Beer Garden. The Essex Community Church will also be offering Hot Dogs for Hospice.
Not on Main Street? No Problem! As space permits, we’re offering free street space for a town-wide garage sale to Essex residents and community non-profits.
Lakeside School at Black Kettle Farm is sponsoring kids’ activities. And there will be a bounce house, face painting, games, popcorn, and more.
Stick around Saturday evening for a Jukebox Dance Event at 7:00pm at the Masonic Lodge. Presented by the Essex Theatre Company.
