Youth and adult artists display works exploring a variety of horticulture themes.

The Town of Chester Public Library’s May exhibit will feature the Inaugural Cornell Cooperative Extension Warren County (CCE) Art Show in the Ruplin Gallery.
The show features art created by Warren County Master Gardener volunteers, 4H participants, and community members, in mediums such as photography, painting, drawing, textiles and wood; several pieces will be for sale to benefit CCE.
Exhibit opening reception on May 9.
The exhibit will start with a reception on Friday, May 9, from 4 to 5 pm. The gallery will also feature educational materials about CCE and its programs, and include information on native plants, pollinators, trees, fruits and vegetables, houseplants, floral arrangements, and natural landscapes.
CCE staff and many artists will be at the reception to discuss their work and answer questions.
A perfect event to welcome spring back to the Adirondacks.
According to Linden Pearsall, Community Horticulture Coordinator, “The art show is a great way to welcome spring in the Adirondacks, which most of us eagerly await. More than 30 local artists have created beautiful work reflecting and interpreting the nature that surrounds us. We hope the show and educational materials will inspire you to learn more about plants and the natural landscapes and support your own growing: whether it be in a garden or in your home.”
Roxanne Macaulay Westcott, 4H Program educator, commented, “Our youth so enjoyed creating art based on the outdoors, and are excited to share their work in this inaugural show.”
