Sunday, July 20, 2025, is the Athletic Brewing Co. IRONMAN Lake Placid. This exhilarating event promises a memorable experience for athletes and spectators alike.
IRONMAN Lake Placid is a truly magical event that attracts athletes from around the world. Every aspect of this unforgettable experience keeps participants coming back for more. From its globally acclaimed, award-winning course—famous for its iconic bike route through the Adirondack Mountains—to the rich Olympic history that fills the town, IRONMAN Lake Placid is a celebration of endurance and achievement.
The legendary race begins with a 2-loop swim in the pristine Mirror Lake. This is followed by a 111-mile bike course that winds through the Adirondack Mountains, with an elevation gain of 7,432 feet.
The race concludes with a 26.2-mile run that takes athletes through the Olympic Village and along the shoreline of Mirror Lake, offering a flat and fast finish at the iconic Olympic Oval. The two-loop course was voted 2nd best in North America by the 2023 Athlete Choice Awards.
Registration is closed, but some special entries may be available.
There will be plenty for spectators to see and do all weekend. Also, volunteers are still needed, offering an excellent opportunity to be part of the action.
