The Village of Saranac Lake is bringing back its beloved annual holiday tradition, Light Up Saranac Lake, on Friday, December 5th. Presented by the Saranac Lake Volunteer Fire Department, Village, and Women's Civic Chamber, this cherished community event promises an evening filled with holiday magic, featuring a dazzling lighted fire truck parade, a heartwarming tree lighting ceremony, and the jolly guest of honor himself—Santa Claus.

The festivities kick off at 6:00 pm as area fire departments gather for a spectacular Lighted Fire Truck Parade through the heart of Saranac Lake. The parade route runs from Broadway to Main Street, offering perfect viewing opportunities for spectators throughout downtown.
Fire trucks adorned with bright lights and festive decorations will process through the village streets, escorting their very special passenger—Santa Claus himself.

Gather for the tree lighting at Berkeley Green.
Join Santa for the annual Tree Lighting on Berkeley Green.
Following the parade, head to Berkeley Green at 6:30 pm, where the celebration continues with the annual tree lighting ceremony. Santa will do the honors of illuminating the community Christmas tree, officially ushering in the holiday season for Saranac Lake.
But the magic doesn't stop there—attendees can warm up by the bonfire while enjoying complimentary cookies and hot cocoa. Join your neighbors in a festive holiday sing-along, creating memories and spreading cheer in the crisp December air.
