Lowville’s 2025 Cream Cheese Festival in the Adirondacks

Where world records meet small-town fun.

Lowville’s annual Cream Cheese Festival returns to the western Adirondack region on Saturday, September 20, 2025.

Located in the historic heart of Lewis County, this free admission event will take place from 11 am to 6 pm and is organized by the Lowville Business Association to celebrate the town's status as home to the nation's largest cream cheese plant, Kraft Heinz, which produces Philadelphia cream cheese.

Lowville native Beth Hall, co-host of 7News This Morning on WWNY-TV 7 and FOX 28 in Watertown, NY, will once again serve as emcee for the event, kicking off the festivities from the Main Stage on North State Street.

Musical entertainment on the stage, coordinated by Jasyn Griffin, begins at 11:00 am. The opening ceremonies start at noon.

This year's festival will feature the unveiling of a giant cheesecake created by the local Kraft Heinz facility, with free slices available immediately after the opening ceremonies at 12 pm. The festival will also include delicious food, great entertainment, a variety of vendors, a traditional recipe contest, and the Children's Discovery Park. The park will offer attractions provided by Adventures in Climbing, located in Veterans Memorial Park along Parkway Drive.

In addition to the entertainment at the Main Stage on North State Street, there will also be musical performances at the Veterans Stage next to American Legion Post 162 on Parkway Drive.

Please note that the Children's Discovery Park is the only part of the festival that charges admission, which is $10 per child. This admission allows the child and an accompanying adult access to attractions throughout the day, along with a choice of popcorn, cotton candy, or a snow cone for the child.
