Old Forge Oktoberfest Moves to SPACE for Bavarian Fun and Live Music

Old Forge Oktoberfest has a new address—and a schedule that stretches from Bavarian dancing to evening concerts. On Saturday, October 3, 2026, the annual Adirondack celebration moves to SPACE Old Forge, with activities at its OUTER SPACE venue and competitions at Tony Harper’s lot.
Sponsored by Saranac Brewery, this year’s event brings together food, drinks, fall vendors, and live entertainment. Bratwurst gets its own competitive moment, while dirndls and lederhosen remain entirely appropriate attire. Dressing for the occasion is considerably easier than winning a stein-hoisting contest.

Bavarian dancing and Oktoberfest competitions in Old Forge.
The free daytime program begins at OUTER SPACE, where the venue lists “Beer Fest with Boys & Bavarian Dancers” from 12 pm – 3 pm. It’s the place to begin for visitors who want the traditional Oktoberfest portion of the day.
The competition then moves to Tony Harper’s lot. A brat-eating contest runs from 4 pm – 4:30 pm, followed by a stein-hoisting competition from 4:30 pm – 5 pm. One tests appetite; the other gives the arm holding the beer something to prove.
Food and drinks are part of the celebration, though a specific menu has not been announced. Visitors can also browse fall vendors between the scheduled festivities.
