Get ready to kick off the holiday season in true Adirondack style at Saranac Lake's Hometown Hop & Shop on Friday, December 13, from 3 to 6 PM. This festive afternoon celebrates everything we love about our Adirondack communities—unique shopping experiences, delicious food and drinks, live entertainment, and that special small-town holiday magic that makes the Adirondacks unforgettable.

Downtown Saranac Lake transforms into a winter wonderland as local businesses roll out special offerings, discounts, and activities designed to make your holiday shopping both meaningful and memorable. Whether you're searching for one-of-a-kind gifts, enjoying seasonal treats, or simply soaking in the festive atmosphere, this event offers something for everyone.

Supporting local businesses has never been more rewarding—or more fun. Participating shops throughout downtown are offering exclusive deals and experiences that you won't find anywhere else. Silver Birch Cycles is slashing prices with 25% off tubes and maintenance items, plus 10% off all bikes, including electric models.

Bicycle with Holiday Gifts in Saranac Lake — Whether you stroll or roll, don’t miss this special day in Saranac Lake.

Blueline Sports is hosting a holiday sale, while St. Regis Canoe Outfitters extends a 10% discount on all in-store purchases.

The Candy Cane Quartet will be caroling throughout downtown, bringing live holiday music to the streets. At ADK Hamlets 2 Huts, families can participate in the Find the Five Christmas Ornament Challenge for chances at additional discounts beyond the 10% local discount already offered.

From 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Baker Memorial Chapel hosts Chapel Lights, featuring dramatic readings of vintage holiday cards and letters from Historic Saranac Lake's collection.
