Composer Seymour Barab's delightful opera stays true to the beloved fairy tale while adding accessible music, witty rhymes, and colorful characters that keep young audiences engaged from beginning to end.

Running approximately 35 minutes, the performance is intentionally sized for shorter attention spans while introducing children to live classical music in an approachable, entertaining way.

Following the performance, children will have the opportunity to meet the performers during an interactive question-and-answer session, giving them a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of opera.

Meet tomorrow's opera stars in North Creek.

This year's performance features four Seagle Festival Emerging Artists, accompanied live by a pianist.

For many audience members, it's an opportunity to see talented young professional singers before they launch careers on larger stages. The intimate setting at Tannery Pond Center allows children to experience live vocal performances up close—something that's increasingly rare in today's screen-filled world.

Rather than presenting opera as something formal or intimidating, Seagle Festival makes it welcoming, playful, and accessible for the next generation.
