Winter’s grand finale takes center stage in the Adirondacks on Saturday, March 7, 2026, as the Ticonderoga End of Winter Carnival & Fireworks returns for a full day of family-friendly fun, live entertainment, local shopping, and a spectacular fireworks display.

Hosted by Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP) in partnership with the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC), this annual celebration invites locals and visitors to embrace everything that makes winter in the Adirondacks magical — from snowmobile rides to cocoa by the campfire.

Families searching for the best March events in the Adirondacks will find plenty to love in downtown Ticonderoga.

A full day of winter fun.

The festivities kick off at 10:00 am at the Ticonderoga Recreational Fields with complimentary snowmobile rides provided by the Adirondack Trailriders (weather and snow conditions permitting). It’s a thrilling way for kids and adults alike to experience the rush of Adirondack winter recreation.

At 11:00 am, the action moves indoors to the Ticonderoga Armory, where Rockin’ Ron the Friendly Pirate delivers an interactive, music-filled performance for all ages. Presented with support from the Ticonderoga Festival Guild, this high-energy show blends entertainment and education in a way that keeps young audiences engaged — and parents smiling.

From 12:00 to 2:00 pm, the Armory transforms into a classic Indoor Winter Carnival. Guests can enjoy carnival games, prizes, a bounce house, face art, caricatures, giveaways, and food — all under one roof. DJ Dan Whitford keeps the energy high with music throughout the afternoon.

New for 2026, organizers introduce a Winter Farmers Market from 4:30 to 7:00 pm at the Ticonderoga Knights of Columbus. Shoppers can browse handmade goods, local products, and seasonal favorites while enjoying a cash bar and bar menu. The market adds a fresh, community-focused element to this year’s celebration and gives visitors another reason to explore Ticonderoga’s local makers and small businesses.

Campfire, cocoa, and fireworks.

As evening falls, families gather at Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park at 7:30 pm for Campfire & Cocoa. The glow of the fire, warm drinks in hand, and the anticipation of what’s next create a quintessential Adirondack winter moment.

At 8:00 pm, Santore’s World Famous Fireworks lights up the sky with the Winter Wonderland Fireworks Display. The show provides a dazzling sendoff to the season and serves as the grand finale to one of the most anticipated winter events in the Ticonderoga area.

Make it a weekend in Ticonderoga.

Organizers encourage visitors to turn the carnival into a full Adirondack weekend getaway. Start Friday night with live music at Paper & Pencil or enjoy a traditional Lenten Fish Fry at the Knights of Columbus.

With support from partners including the Town of Ticonderoga, Silver Bay YMCA Teen Center, University of Vermont Health Network – ECH, Stewart’s Shops, the Kiwanis Club of Ticonderoga, and many more, this celebration reflects the strength and spirit of the Ticonderoga community.
