Mais Oui! Bistro LeRoux

Fine dining south of Lake George Village and worth the drive.

Gourmet dining in Lake George at Bistro LeRoux

We are admittedly a little late to the game when it comes to this gem of a restaurant on Route 149, south of Lake George Village. We heard rave reviews for several years but just never made it to Bistro LeRoux. We aren’t making that mistake anymore.

Chef-owners  Jake and Tiffany Guay have created a warm, inviting and charming establishment where customers immediately feel right at home. It’s suitable for special occasions and romantic dinners and appropriate for friends enjoying a night out or family dinners.

LeRoux’s menu is sophisticated but not snooty. Its heart is definitely in the Adirondacks, using fresh, locally sourced and produced ingredients. On our inaugural visit, we devoured the Ahi Tuna Roll, Crab Cake, Mascarpone Stuffed Poached Pear Salad, Braised Short Ribs, Seared Sea Scallops and Butter Poached Lobster Risotto.

One notable feature is that diners can opt for half portions of menu items. We loved this, given how hard it was to choose among all of the options. They can also accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free requests.
