The Cellar Wine Shop in North Creek
“Life is too short to drink bad wine.” Thanks to the Cellar, we can get great wines in the Adirondacks.
For many years, this wine shop was part of the excellent barVino in North Creek. When barVino changed hands, its long-time wine director went out on her own, creating the delightful Cellar Wine Shop, just one door down from the previous shop.
Part wine shop, part wine club and wine tasting place, The Cellar offers customers an opportunity to try delectable wines from small producers who emphasize sustainability. These are not the average ubiquitous wines one sees in their local wine and liquor store.
While the selection is concise, it is representative of wines from all around the world, hand-picked by the proprietor. We were given excellent guidance to help us make our selection on a recent visit, which proved to pair perfectly with our dinner menu that night.
Be sure to check The Cellar’s website and social media accounts for current hours. They also regularly post recommendations and write-ups on current wines on offer in their shop.
Saluti!
