barVino as an Adirondack Gem in North Creek

Small plates, big flavors in the heart of North Creek. An excellent destination for a lovely dinner after skiing or hiking at Gore Mountain.

We are enthusiastic admirers of this spot for creative cuisine on Main Street in North Creek. barVino's constantly changing and evolving menu features inventive dishes made from seasonal, and whenever possible, local ingredients in a stylish and warm ambiance.

The menu features delicious dishes like roasted carrots with herbs, freshly made hummus, yummy chicken or beef dishes, lamb flatbread and other tasty items. On a recent visit, we sipped on a fantastic bone broth (highly recommend), fried green tomatoes, a chickeny schnitzelesque dish, and to-die-for Frites with a lemony aioli. So good.

As the name implies, wine is a big star at this establishment, too. My dining companion on my last visit was a Master of Wine, and she gave barVino her (hard to earn) seal of approval.

While the wine list is not extensive, the wines were of excellent quality and priced well. We especially appreciated the many “by the glass” options kept fresh with a wine dispenser system that protects open wines from spoilage.

Conveniently located near Gore Mountain, the cozy atmosphere (we always try to score a table near the fireplace in the Winter) makes it the perfect apres ski destination for a special meal.

If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind dining experience, you can't go wrong with barVino. This restaurant is a creative hub for foodies, and its constantly changing and evolving menu is a testament to that. From the moment you walk in, you'll feel right at home among the rustic decor and cozy atmosphere. Whether you're a local or just passing through, barVino is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates good food and great company.

barVino does not take reservations, so you may have to wait during the high season. Luckily, they are open all year round for the rest of us.
