Mountainman Outdoor Supply Co. in Old Forge, NY, hosts the annual Paddlefest Weekend in the Central Adirondacks.

It is billed as the ultimate celebration of paddling, adventure, and community. Get ready to immerse yourself in a weekend of excitement, exploration, and camaraderie as paddlers come together to honor their love for all things water-related.

Come view the latest technology in all things kayaking and canoeing! Our incredible brands and vendors will all convene in one place for a weekend of test paddling and hands-on sales experiences.

Browse a vendor village and discover the latest gear, gadgets, and accessories from the top paddling brands. Whether you're in the market for a new kayak, paddle, or piece of gear, the expert staff and vendor partners are on hand to help you find the perfect equipment for your next paddling adventure. There will also be great deals on older styles, used rental gear and more.

At least three dozen manufacturers and other groups and organizations have already committed to attending the 2024 Adirondack Paddlefest. Expect to see over 1,000 canoes, kayaks and SUPs from many of the industry's leading manufacturers and hundreds of accessories.

In addition, representatives, designers, and company executives will be on hand to show off their products and help participants choose what is best for their paddling needs.

Put the latest products to the test.

Attendees will not only have an opportunity to see the latest canoe, kayak and SUP models but also to test them. Test paddling will take place off Mountainman’s dock on the Moose River.

While Mountaianman has always encouraged test paddling before purchasing a canoe, kayak or SUP, in many cases, other factors such as seat comfort, roominess, and even design and color are important in some of the lesser technical models.

If customers wish to test paddle at this year’s event, there will be a two-boat maximum at $30 each and $50 each for Kevlar and fishing boats (fee goes towards the purchase of a canoe, kayak or SUP by the end of the weekend). You are allowed to test paddle up to two boats. For more details, visit the event website.
