Celebrate Labor Day Weekend 2025 on Lake Champlain
The Moriah Chamber of Commerce and Port Henry host their three day annual celebration.

Visit picturesque Port Henry on Lake Champlain and enjoy three days of festivities celebrating Labor Day, presented by The Moriah Chamber of Commerce on Sunday, August 31, 2025.
Events include a town-wide yard sale, regatta, food trucks and vendors, parade of boats, fireworks, car show and town parade.
The Town of Moriah’s Labor Day Celebration is a cherished tradition that highlights the area’s history, waterfront beauty, and strong sense of community. With three days of events, this celebration is the perfect way to close out the summer season.
Kick off Labor Day weekend Friday evening.

There’s something for everyone at the Labor Day Celebration in Port Henry.
The festivities commence at Bridgeview Harbour Marina at 5 pm. Enjoy an evening at the waterfront featuring live music from Bear Naked Bears, local vendors, and food trucks.
This Friday Night Market is organized by the Moriah Chamber of Commerce, hosted by Bridgeview Harbour Marina, and made possible through a grant from the Town of Moriah and the Essex County Arts Council.
Town-wide garage sale and fireworks on Saturday.
Residents of Moriah and Port Henry will host garage sales on Saturday, August 30, beginning at 9 am. Maps of the sales will be available at the Moriah Town Hall and on the Town of Moriah Facebook page.
At 8 pm, don’t miss the annual Parade of Lights, which will depart from Bridgeview Harbour Marina on Lake Champlain. Boaters decorate their vessels and join in this visually stunning parade.
The procession is open to any boat on the lake and will begin just before dark. Boats will head west toward the Champlain Bridge, then turn north to anchor just south of the Port Henry Pier, providing a prime view of the fireworks show.
Participation in the parade is free and open to all boaters, regardless of their home port. Spectators can watch the Parade of Lights from Champ Beach Park.
Following the incredible spectacle of the Parade of Lights, the town will dazzle visitors with a spectacular fireworks display over Lake Champlain, launched from the Port Henry Pier. Best viewing spots? Champ Beach Park or by boat on the lake.
Sunday’s Labor Day Dash 2025
The day begins with the annual Labor Day Dash, the fastest 5K in the Adirondacks. The 5K race starts at 9:30 am. This lightning-fast course takes you downhill from Moriah Central School to the stunning shores of Lake Champlain — making it one of the fastest 5Ks in the Adirondacks.

There will also be a 1-Mile Kids Dash at 10:30 am.
Follow in the footsteps of the region’s legendary iron miners as you fly past historic sites and descend to the finish line at Bridgeview Harbor Marina — right on the lake that's home to Champ, Lake Champlain’s mysterious monster.
All registered participants will receive t-shirts, and race finishers will receive medals. There will also be prizes for the top 3 races in a variety of classes. Registration is available online.
A parade, BBQ, market and more on Sunday.
The festivities continue on Sunday afternoon. The 2025 Labor Day Parade in Port Henry celebrates its 136th year. The parade will kick off at 2 pm, featuring local organizations, bands, and a float competition.
The parade will begin at the Stone St./Broad St. intersection in Port Henry, go down Broad St., turn right onto Main St., and end at Sleeper’s Repair Shop on Main St.

Celebrate another fantastic summer season in the Adirondacks.
Following the parade, enjoy the afternoon perusing the Labor Day Market at Port Henry Field located off of College Street. The marketplace features local goods, food vendors, and artisans.
The Miner’s Car Show will also take place at 3 pm. It’s a classic car show honoring the town’s mining legacy, featuring antique and custom vehicles.
Wrap up the weekend with a community Chicken BBQ and live music by Blues Without Borders. Chicken BBQ is $13.00 per dinner. There will be vendors, food trucks, a tent with seating, and Ledge Hill Brewing Co. will offer their tasty brews.
