Tour the Gate Lodge at Santanoni Labor Day Weekend

Since 1905, the enchanting Gate Lodge at historic Great Camp Santanoni has been a warm welcome for visitors to the picturesque Santanoni Preserve.

On August 30, 2025, immerse yourself in the beauty of this historic site with guided tours led by Adirondack Architectural Heritage. Experience the captivating landscape and architectural features of the lodge, while delving into the intriguing stories of the families who called it home—the Pruyns and Melvins—along with insights into the early state ownership that shaped its legacy.

Santanoni’s Gate Lodge

As you wander through the grounds, enjoy the soothing serenade of nearby Fishing Brook, enhancing the serene atmosphere that surrounds you. Tours will commence at the majestic stone archway of the Gate Lodge at 9 am, 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm.

To support AARCH’s Friends of Camp Santanoni fund, a suggested donation of $10 per person is appreciated.

Please note that each tour has a limit of six participants to ensure an intimate experience. We encourage reservations, which can be made by contacting santanoni@aarch.org. Come and discover the rich history and natural beauty of this beloved preserve.
