If you're going leaf-peeping in the Central Adirondacks this weekend, visit Long Lake. They recently introduced an imaginative exhibit that showcases local artwork in nature, offering a new way to appreciate the region's beauty.

Long Lake’s Parks and Recreation Department recently debuted an outdoor exhibition called "Art in Nature.” This display highlights the artwork of eleven talented Long Lake artists, displayed outdoors, making it a distinctive and surprising way to experience art in natural settings.

Connecting art to nature in Long Lake.

Long Lake, a jewel in the Central Adirondacks.

The Town extended an invitation to local artists to paint any subject of their choice. Their original works are now on display alfresco at different locations throughout the town of Long Lake, providing an opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy them while engaging in various recreational activities such as paddling, sightseeing, hiking, walking, and biking.

The immediate accessibility to the great outdoors sets Adirondack communities apart, and by moving art into nature, the exhibition offers a surprising perspective and connects man-made art to natural features in the environment.
