Tupper Lake’s Wild Center 2025 Season Begins May 23

Another of our favorite destinations, The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, reopens for the 2025 season on May 23 with new outdoor installations, hands-on indoor exhibits, and engaging seasonal events and programs.
A captivating new outdoor music experience.
The Wild Center will introduce Forest Music, a unique trail and soundscape featuring a composition from the esteemed Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam.
The Wild Center: the Adirondacks’ museum of natural history.
Forest Music will install 24 speakers throughout the forest, creating a serene and captivating listening experience. As visitors walk along the wooded trail on The Wild Center campus, they will enjoy the harmonious blend of nature and music.
The Fen Trail gets an update, and familiar exhibits return.
Originally opened in 2024, the Fen Trail takes visitors to and from the Raquette River fen. For 2025, The Wild Center is expanding it into a mile-long loop with additional stations for the popular Raquette River Roll that features an interactive ball.
Birdly, an advanced virtual reality (VR) flying simulator, is set to return for its third year. Utilizing state-of-the-art technology, it features a motion platform, wind effects, and a 4K display. Visitors can experience the unique and exhilarating sensation of flying like a bird over natural landscapes.
Fan favorites, the Wild Center’s North American River Otters, will entertain and charm visitors of all ages.
