HalloweenFest 2025 in Ticonderoga
A week of spooks, stories, and small-town magic
When the leaves turn gold and the nights grow crisp, the Ticonderoga Area transforms into a Halloween wonderland. From haunted history walks and pumpkin-lit trails to costume parades and living history at Fort Ticonderoga, the 2025 HalloweenFest (October 24–31) promises eight days of family fun, community spirit, and Adirondack charm.
Organized by the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) and Ticonderoga Montcalm Street Partnership (TMSP), this annual celebration has become one of the most anticipated fall traditions in the North Country. Here’s your complete guide to this year’s spellbinding schedule.
Friday, October 24 — Fireside Folk & Haunted Tales
4:00–10:00 PM: Fireside Folk Festival, Downtown Ticonderoga
Kick off HalloweenFest with a brand-new event: the Fireside Folk Festival, featuring storybook sculpture dedications, live music from Carillion Consort, Lang & I, and The National Parks, plus food trucks, a beer garden, kids’ activities, and WEQX broadcasting live.
Ghosts and goblins abound in the Ticonderoga area.
5:30 PM: Haunted History Tour, Crown Point State Historic Site
Walk the twilight grounds where history haunts every step. Listen to chilling tales of ghostly soldiers and mysterious drownings while sipping cider and donuts. (Free; rain date October 30.)
7:30–8:30 PM: Zombie Trail, Silver Bay YMCA
Get your fright fix on this eerie night hike—also running October 3, 10, and 17.
Saturday, October 25 — Family Fun from Dawn to Dusk
10:00 AM: Harvest Halloween Festival & Fright Nights at Hunter Way Farm
From pumpkin contests and a kids’ movie to the spine-tingling Scary Trail and late-night horror flick, Hunter Way Farm is an all-day destination for families and thrill-seekers alike.
10:00 AM: Halloween Storytime, Black Watch Memorial Library
Young readers can enjoy a Halloween tale and stuff their own pumpkin bear to take home. (Free; registration required.)

11:00 AM: Hocus Pocus Magic Show, Ticonderoga Community Building
A free family show by the Ticonderoga Festival Guild—expect giggles, gasps, and plenty of hocus-pocus.
3:00–5:00 PM: Trunk-or-Treat Show, Hague Fish & Game Club
Classic community fun: candy, popcorn, juice, and a Halloween movie for all ages.
6:15 PM: Adirondack Dancing Witches, Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park
Catch this lively local troupe before the Pumpkin Walk—no tricks, just treats and a whole lot of laughter.
6:30–8:30 PM: Pumpkin Walk & Campfire, Percy Thompson Bicentennial Park
Hundreds of glowing jack-o-lanterns light the path through the park. Sip cider, listen to DJ Dan Whitford, and enjoy the cozy campfire atmosphere.
7:00–9:00 PM: Haunted House, Silver Bay YMCA
Step inside “Pain”e Hall—if you dare. (Also held October 4, 11, and 18.)

Sunday, October 26 — History Comes Alive
9:30 AM–5:00 PM: Real Time Revolution, Fort Ticonderoga
This immersive living history event recreates the struggles of British prisoners of war in 1775. Explore daily life, hardship, and resilience during the early days of the Revolution. (Also held October 25.)
Monday, October 27 — A Feast for a Cause
5:00–8:00 PM: Feast for the Fourth, Burleigh’s Luncheonette
Enjoy a hearty turkey dinner—with proceeds and tips supporting the Best 4th in the North celebration. Dine in or take out; reservations encouraged.
Tuesday, October 28 — Pumpkin Decorating Party

3:30–5:30 PM: North Country Community College, Ticonderoga Campus
Kids 13 and under can decorate pumpkins, enjoy snacks, and celebrate Halloween with friends. (Free event.)
Wednesday, October 29 — Chicken BBQ & Live Music
4:30 PM: Ticonderoga Knights of Columbus
Support downtown events with a $15 chicken BBQ, complete with baked potato, slaw, and dessert. Enjoy live music by Kait MD and a cash bar.
Friday, October 31 — Trick-or-Treat Finale
3:15–5:00 PM: Downtown Trick-or-Treating, Montcalm Street
The main event! Montcalm Street will close to traffic as local businesses, organizations, and the TACC hand out candy and crank up the Halloween tunes. (Free event; no rain date.)
4:00–6:00 PM: Crown Point Trunk-or-Treat, Veterans Memorial Park
Decorate your car and hand out sweets—or bring the kids for candy galore.
8:00 PM: Halloween Party, Employees Mutual Association
Adults 21+ can close out the week in costume with DJ Jazzy Jake spinning spooky beats.
