A perfect opportunity for holiday shopping.
From November 29 through December 7, 2025, the Ticonderoga Area Chamber of Commerce once again brings festive cheer to the region with the 16th Annual Ticonderoga Area North Country Christmas—an extended celebration full of small-town charm, community tradition, local shopping, and family-friendly events. This beloved holiday series, spanning two weekends, blends time-honored favorites with exciting new events designed to support local businesses and bring neighbors together.
A community tradition wrapped in holiday spirit.
North Country Christmas has grown into one of the Ticonderoga area’s most cherished annual celebrations—a blend of parades, markets, interactive arts, historic reenactments, tree lightings, and opportunities to shop local. With more than a dozen festive events happening from Ticonderoga to Crown Point and Moriah, it’s the perfect way to kick off the season while strengthening community ties and supporting small businesses.
Saturday, November 29: Small Business Saturday.
The celebration launches with Small Business Saturday, an invitation to explore shops and eateries throughout Ticonderoga.
Visitors can pick up a Small Business Saturday Passport from TACC and collect stamps while shopping for a chance to win prizes from local businesses. DJ Dan Whitford keeps the energy high from 10 am to 2 pm with music and giveaways.
That evening, the festivities shift to Port Henry for the Moriah Tree Lighting and Parade of Lights, beginning at 6 pm in the Village Pocket Park. The parade follows immediately at 6:30 pm—an illuminated salute to community pride.
Sunday, November 30: Rockin’ Tree Lighting.
Don’t miss tree lighting ceremonies in Ticonderoga and Moriah.
Back in Ticonderoga, families gather at the Community Building at 5:30 pm for the Rockin’ Tree Lighting with DJ Jazzy Jake. Kids can help count down to the tree lighting, enjoy the Christmas Caboose trackless train, roast marshmallows by the campfire, and meet Santa and Mrs. Claus. Complimentary cookies and cocoa provided by Silver Bay YMCA keep everyone warm and merry.

Friday night is one of the festival’s biggest highlights—a community-wide Holiday Shopping & Dining Night featuring special promotions, live performances, and festive downtown experiences.
The evening kicks off at 5 pm with the debut of a new Interactive Light Installation, an immersive canopy of color-changing lights in the alleyway between NRDC and Punky Noodle’s—an installation that responds to voices and sounds.
Artist Filomena Jack returns as an artist-in-residence, creating live holiday window paintings that transform storefronts into works of art.
