Tupper Lake doesn’t just embrace winter—it illuminates it. Every year, The Wild Center transforms its campus into Wild Lights, one of the Adirondack Park’s most enchanting nighttime experiences and a beloved tradition for families, couples, and curious travelers.
Spanning from late November 2025 through February 2026, Wild Lights invites visitors to wander glowing forest paths, explore immersive art installations, and see winter in the Adirondacks from a fresh, luminous perspective.
Now entering its newest season, Wild Lights continues to raise the bar with a new soundtrack, upgraded projections, and playful new features designed to delight visitors of all ages.
What makes Wild Lights special: Nature, light, and science.
Few winter attractions in the Northeast combine art, nature, light, and science as seamlessly as The Wild Center. Wild Lights is designed not just as a holiday attraction, but as a full sensory experience celebrating the intersection of wilderness and creativity.
The trails are lit and wild in Tupper Lake.
Stroll through the Forest Music trail, where thousands of lights pulse in harmony with an original Adirondack soundscape. Stand beneath towering white pines transformed by color, movement, and pattern. Or wander the Wild Walk, the museum’s elevated treetop trail, reimagined as a sparkling, otherworldly canopy of lights.
Wild Lights is experiential and atmospheric—it’s less about rushing through and more about wandering, pausing, and soaking in the glow.
When to visit Wild Lights.
Wild Lights typically runs on Friday and Saturday evenings starting Thanksgiving weekend and continuing through the winter, with expanded holiday-week schedules for Christmas, New Year’s, and Presidents’ Week. For 2025–26, expect dates from November 28, 2025, to February 21, 2026.
