Traditionally held over President’s Day Weekend, Adirondack WhiteOut Weekend brings together locals and visitors for a few days of shared fun in one of the Adirondacks’ most scenic and less-traveled corners. These communities boast a genuine wilderness setting paired with a friendly, down-to-earth vibe that makes newcomers feel like neighbors.
A winter playground for all ages.
WhiteOut Weekend celebrates winter in all its forms. Expect a mix of indoor and outdoor activities designed for all ages and interests.
From classic cold-weather recreation—sledding, snowshoeing, and other snow-day staples—to cozy indoor arts and crafts, there’s always something happening no matter the temperature.
Warm bonfires pop up as gathering spots where laughter carries across the snow, and stories flow as freely as the hot cocoa. Families can move at their own pace, while groups of friends can make a full weekend of exploring different events across the four host communities.
Music, arts, and local flavor.
Enjoy live music performances.
Live music and entertainment add energy to the weekend, creating a festive soundtrack that echoes through town halls, community spaces, and outdoor venues. Local artists and makers showcase their talents through arts and crafts activities, giving visitors a chance to take home something handmade—and meaningful—from the Adirondacks.
Food plays a starring role as well. Local organizations and businesses step up with delicious offerings that warm you from the inside out. Supporting these vendors not only satisfies your appetite but also strengthens the local economy during the quieter winter season.
Powered by volunteers and community pride.
One of the most inspiring aspects of Adirondack WhiteOut Weekend is how it comes together. The festival is run entirely by volunteers, supported by sponsorships, donor contributions, and community fundraising. Every event, activity, and smiling welcome reflects the pride these towns take in sharing their home with visitors.
This strong sense of community creates an atmosphere you can feel—whether you’re chatting with a volunteer at an event, warming up inside a local business, or discovering a hidden trail nearby.
