Seagle Festival brings Life is Happiness Indeed: The Music of Leonard Bernstein to the Adirondack Lakes Center for the Arts in Blue Mountain Lake on Thursday, September 3 at 7:30 pm, offering an evening of live music drawn from some of the composer's most beloved works.

Performed by the Seagle Festival Fall Artists, the program includes selections from West Side Story, Candide, Trouble in Tahiti, On the Town, and more.

Bernstein had a gift for moving effortlessly between Broadway exuberance and classical sophistication, with plenty of jazz, wit, romance, and distinctly American swagger along the way. That range should give the Seagle artists plenty to work with—and audiences plenty to recognize.

Seagle Festival takes the show on the road.

Based in Schroon Lake, Seagle Festival has trained emerging professional singers and brought opera and musical theater to Adirondack audiences for more than a century. This touring concert extends that tradition beyond its home stage at the Oscar Seagle Memorial Theater.

For visitors spending late summer around Blue Mountain Lake, Indian Lake, Long Lake, or the central Adirondacks, the performance offers a chance to pair an evening of live music with one of the region's loveliest stretches of scenery.
