CATS Grand Hike Trail Map
Join Champlain Area Trails (CATS) for their 2024 Grand Hike, an energizing 14-mile walk through beautiful forests and fields in the Champlain Valley.
Along the way, CATS hosts four rest stops where hikers can find snacks, water, and portapotties. Hikers will also have a chance to mingle with other participants.
For hikers who want to walk only part of the distance, a shuttle back to the finish line will be available so they can join the post-hike party.
The Grand Hike starts from the Essex Gateway Trailhead and ends in Westport, NY.
After the trek, all are welcome to join the "après hike party" celebration at Winton's 1898 Tavern at Westport Golf and Country Club. The festivities will feature live music by the Headwall Band, drinks, and food to purchase. There will also be an outdoor games area for everyone to enjoy.
Visit the CATS website for more information and to register.
