Inlet Fall Festival Brings a Big Weekend to the Central Adirondacks

The bustling center of the village of Inlet, NY, in the central Adirondacks.

Inlet, NY.

September has a way of making the Central Adirondacks feel especially inviting, and the Inlet Fall Festival gives visitors another reason to make the trip.

The 33rd annual festival returns to Fern Park in Inlet, NY, September 19–20, 2026, bringing more than 80 vendors, live music, food trucks, a beer tent and family entertainment to this small community near Old Forge and Fourth Lake.

Admission, entertainment, parking and the event shuttle are all free, making this two-day Adirondack fall festival an easy addition to a September weekend.

More than 80 vendors come to Fern Park in Inlet.

Shopping is one of the festival’s biggest draws. More than 80 vendors are expected at Fern Park with a decidedly browse-worthy mix that includes clothing, jams, candles, photography, stoneware and jewelry.

That variety makes the festival less of a quick stop and more of a wander. Visitors can browse the booths, break for something from the food trucks, listen to live music and then make another pass through anything that caught their eye the first time.

The setting helps. Inlet sits along the Route 28 corridor northeast of Old Forge, putting the festival within easy reach of Eagle Bay, Big Moose and other Central Adirondack destinations. For travelers already spending a fall weekend in this part of the Park, it offers an activity that doesn’t require hiking boots or a reservation.

An Adirondack fall festival built for families.

The weekend blends shopping and food with entertainment designed to keep all generations engaged. Along with live music, the lineup includes jugglers, face painting, balloon twisting and raffles.

Food trucks will be on hand, while adults can stop at the beer tent. This mix gives families room to make the festival as short or as leisurely as they like, rather than committing to a tightly scheduled program.

Saturday also offers the longer festival day, running from 10 am – 4 pm. Sunday hours are 10 am – 3 pm.

ADK Taste pick.

The sheer number of vendors stands out. With more than 80 expected, shoppers looking for locally made, handcrafted or simply unusual finds should allow enough time to browse rather than treating the festival as a quick walk-through.

Free parking and shuttle service make Inlet easier to navigate.

For a small Adirondack community hosting a sizable event, the parking plan is refreshingly straightforward. Free event parking is available at Fern Park, Arrowhead Park and the Dunay lot next to The Woods Inn.

A free shuttle runs between Arrowhead Park and Fern Park, giving visitors an alternative to parking directly at the festival grounds.

ADK Taste recommendation.

Visitors arriving during the busiest part of Saturday should consider parking at Arrowhead Park and taking the free shuttle to Fern Park. It removes some of the parking guesswork and leaves more time for the part that matters: food, music and figuring out which vendor booth deserves a second look.
