The concept for Paradox Brewery originated in Germany, where its founder, Paul Mrocka, cultivated a passion for beer and brewing while serving as a US Army pilot.

What’s on tap is always great at Paradox Brewery.

After several decades of brewing for family and friends, Paul's beer gained great popularity around Paradox Lake.

Lucky visitors who knew where to find him would hop on their boats to enjoy a beer with Paul. At that time, he was brewing about 200 gallons a year to meet the demand for his delicious lake beer.

Like many food and beverage businesses in the Adirondacks, Paradox Brewery attributes the great taste of its products to the water it uses, sourced from the granite 600 feet below the Adirondack Park.

The brewery claims that Adirondack water is so pure that it requires no filtering or treatment before brewing it with the finest malts and hops. The combination of high-quality ingredients and a passion for great beer results in a truly "Pure Adirondack" product.
